We begin with an increasingly accessible form of creation - photography, and dedicate ourselves to assisting photographers at all levels to express themselves using photos. We take none of the details in photography lightly, while minimizing the technical barriers for photographers to get their photos to have the exact look and feel as they wished.
We think it is important to allow creators to effortlessly express their perspectives and attitudes toward life, universe, and everything, without losing the fidelity of their creative desire and inspirations.

@bwang29 is a die-hard photographer graduated from Stanford with a master degree in HCI/AI. Besides building Polarr, he also loves collecting headphones and his hometown Beijing.
Daniel Vershinin

@din is the Objective-C developer and UI guy of Polarr. All the way from Moscow Russia, he is the maker of Simplify for Mac and he still owns a ZX Spectrum.
Derek Yan

All the way from Toronto, @derek earned his undergrad degree from U of Waterloo in Mechatronics Eng and Graduate degree in EE from Stanford. On his spare time, Derek enjoys reading history novels, helps out at his home church Santa Clara First Baptist, and follows his hometown sports teams: Leafs, Blue Jays, and Raptors.
Enhao Gong

@gongenhao is the brain of the machine learning at Polarr who is also from Beijing. He is a PhD candidate in Imaging research at Stanford. He also has worked on Computational Neuroscience for 'mind reading'. He loves his cat Almond, along with image processing of course.

@emvonhoffmann is a Georgetown grad and California native currently exploring the American South. She writes for and produces Pixel, Polarr’s digital magazine. She enjoys Twitter binges, Lena Dunham, and baby cacti.

@karissa is a Stanford grad and former founder of Accelerate Startup Consultancy. Originally from Orange County, CA (aka “the silicone valley”), she has been tasked with growth + scale of all Polarr operations. A reformed tech junkie, her interests now include philosophy, design thinking, minimalism, and carbohydrates.
